WOLFDOG PUPPIES FOR SALE

...we are delighted to announce that Missi and Winston have had a litter!

Late night on the 20th October 2019 Missi went in to labour, and we are delighted to announce that she safely delivered four bouncing boys and three scrummy girls. Natalie was by her side the whole time to make sure everything went smoothly, and mum and babies were comfortable and settled.

These wolfdog puppies are the ‘real deal’ and will grow up to be like their older siblings Frosty Bear and Toothless. They will share their magical combination of unbeatable looks and temperament that we are internationally renowned for here at Watermill Wolves, and is incomparable to cheaper wolfdog imitations.

At two weeks old they are already standing tall and being social with strangers, travelling in a car crate, sleeping on blankets and even toileting on pads through choice.

They are being raised in the centre of our home, where in addition to their fur family, they are being given intensive nurturing, socialisation and early training from our very own wolfdog expert and qualified behaviourist Natalie Lagstrom, her family, and as many friends as we can fit!

Missi is a lower content American Wolfdog x Czechoslovakian Wolfdog, imported from Europe as a foundation bitch for the Watermill Wolves breeding programme.

Missi is super sweet, cuddly and gentle with her human family, but is more reserved (but not panicky) with strangers.

She enjoys training, and focuses well, but doesn’t enjoy repeating the same thing over and over. She is toy focused, and we have successfully used toys in addition to fuss and treats as an effective reward.

Missi’s recall is excellent on walks, unless she sees a prey animal running, so we wouldn’t let her off lead where livestock may be present.

Winston is a higher content breed called a North American Indian Dog (sometimes referred to as North A.I.D.) and was imported from the United States as a foundation sire for the Watermill Wolves breeding programme.

Winston has a larger than life personality, always happy, curious and eager to be involved in all aspects of his ‘mum’ Natalie’s life. He’s a natural joker and a bit of a clown which combined with his size can make him quite demanding at times.

He enjoys a short play session, but is otherwise happy with quieter exercise (he loves swimming), puzzles and brain games. The key to keeping him happy and engaged is to keep training fun and creative, with lots of treats!

Although he has a very low prey drive, Winston’s recall can be a bit ‘dreamy’ and he’s easily distracted by interesting smells. He enjoys off lead play sessions in safe areas, but is otherwise happy to spend most of his walks mooching on a long line.
